One week remains until postseason play, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

UT Dallas Comets joined the top three LSC women’s soccer teams this week after topping UT Permian Basin. There were small movements in the rest of the standings, but top teams No. 1 DBU and No. 2 Texas Woman’s stayed strong in maintaining their spots.

Opening conference play reaffirmed what fans already knew: DBU dominates the field. The Patriots continued their winning streak for a total of six games, earning them the top spot in the LSC and No. 5 nationally.

DBU had another dominant week, keeping themselves at the top of the LSC standing and moving up to No. 7 in the NCAA DII national poll.

Dallas Baptist University (DBU) is named the Lone Star Conference (LSC) women’s soccer favorite based on a recent preseason poll. The team snagged 650 total points and 29 out of the 45 possible first place votes. Angelo State trails with 634 points and 13 first place votes.
