UT Dallas Comets joined the top three LSC women’s soccer teams this week after topping UT Permian Basin. There were small movements in the rest of the standings, but top teams No. 1 DBU and No. 2 Texas Woman’s stayed strong in maintaining their spots.

UTD rose from seventh to No. 6 in Week 4, improving their conference record to 3-1 in a shutout against Permian Basin. Their only loss of the whole season came against Midwestern State in a hard-fought 1–2 game in Week 2. 

Junior Gabby Thompson scored the game-winning goal in the first half, adding to her eight-goal total and three game-winning goal tally. The Comets spent the second half securing their win with defense, despite not being able to translate any plays into points.

Oklahoma Christian found their first LSC loss and second fall of the season to Angelo State. The Rams blanked Oklahoma and found both of their goals in the first half. The Eagles placed pressure on the Rams but weren’t able to put any points on the board.
