A little over one week from postseason tournaments, the NCAA Division I men’s soccer rankings are alive with switch-ups.

No. 1 Stanford and No. 2 Bryant hold the top two spots for the second consecutive week. Bryant hasn’t dropped a single match and looks ready to pounce into first if Stanford ever slips.

The University of Virginia Cavaliers suffered their first loss of the season, ending their four-week reign at the top of the NCAA Division I women’s soccer national rankings.

Former No. 2 team Vermont slips to No. 7 in the NCAA D1 men’s soccer rankings after drawing both of its games last week. Though still unbeaten (8-0-5), the two 0-0 draws against Harvard and UMass Lowell were enough to knock them down the chart.

The top five stay strong in this week’s DI women’s soccer rankings. Virginia, Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, and Tennessee remain firmly in place, unchanged from last week. Between them, the five teams have lost just four of 53 total games. Even more impressive, No. 1 Virginia and No. 2 Notre Dame remain completely unbeaten.

Major shakeups in the top five have created openings for new contenders in the latest NCAA Division I men's soccer rankings.

San Diego surged to No. 11 after two shutout wins, while Wake Forest dropped to 13 following a 3-6 loss to Virginia. Stanford slid to No. 6 after a draw to San Jose State, as Michigan, Marshall, Indiana and Portland climbed. Virginia, after dominating the top team, entered the top 25 list for the first time since Poll 1.

The University of Virginia stays firm at No. 1, maintaining their unbeaten record for the sixth week. Notre Dame takes second after a victory over Duke, who slid as a result. Penn State suffered their third loss and dropped ten places in the rankings.

University of Michigan beat previous top-ranked Indiana University in week 4, propelling the Wolverines to No. 8.

Stanford shuffled down from first to third in the latest 2025 NCAA women's college soccer rankings after a loss to No. 4 UCLA, previously 18th, this week. The University of Tennessee (No. 1) and Duke (No. 2) stayed on top of their game and kept the top spots.

Stanford has been dethroned. The Cardinal met their first loss of the season, falling 1-0 to the University of Louisville. The match dropped the previously No. 1 team to eighth and carried Louisville from unranked all the way to sixth in this week’s poll.

Stanford remains undefeated this season, replacing Vermont men's soccer at the top spot in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll. The Cardinals snagged 200 points and eight first place votes. After two weeks at number one, Vermont’s win streak was interrupted by two 1-1 ties against American and Georgetown. This ultimately bumped them down to ninth in this week’s poll.
