The Bobcats scored in minute 56, and Fresno Pacific was unable to answer. The game winning shot was scored by Trinidad Quiroz off an assist from Lexi Wright. Senior forward Quiroz boasts 43 career goals and looks for ten more throughout the season to achieve the program record.
Cal Poly Pomona keeps their streak with a 3-1 over Fort Lewis and 3-0 shutout against MSU Denver. Three weeks down and the Cal Poly Pomona campaign looks nearly unshakable. Half of their games ended with a three-point win margin and the other half with a two-point margin.
After a strong week two, Cal State East Bay backslides to No. 9 after two losses last week. The Pioneers’ match against Seattle Pacific remained scoreless until minute 79 where SPU found the game winning shot. The Pioneers nearly tied the game in the last minute with a shot from Jenna McDonnell but was blocked by the SPU goalie.
San Francisco State still looks for their first season win. Following a particularly challenging game against Simon Fraser where the team lost 0-5, the Gators fought for a draw against Dominican in week three.
