AC Milan face Juventus on Saturday after earning just one point from their previous matches and in the knowledge that their qualification to the Champions League hangs in the balance.

The Rossoneri currently sit in that all-important fourth position in the table, just one point ahead of Atalanta and four points in front of Lazio, AS Roma, and Torino — with eight matches remaining.

Friday morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport remarked that “it’s time to wake up” for Gennaro Gattuso’s men, but the sheer dominance of Juventus this season may mean they have to wait another week to get some points on the board.

That said, rivals La Dea must still face Inter, Napoli, Lazio, and Juventus before their season ends with a game versus Sassuolo, while Milan’s run-in sees them face relegation candidates Bologna, Frosinone, SPAL, and Parma as part of their last eight matches.

It is time for Milan to wake up and return to the Champions League after a four-season absence, but perhaps they will need to wait to kick-start a potential winning run until after they face their Torinese counterparts.
