Thursday morning’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport newspaper has celebrated the beginning of Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek’s AC Milan career.
After setting Serie A on fire with 13 goals in his first 19 appearances, following his move from Cracovia to Genoa this summer, Milan were quick to snap the youngster up in the January transfer window.
In his first five hours and 10 minutes in Rossonero, the 23-year-old has scored six goals. This makes him the fastest to do so in this great club’s history, beating Gunnar Nordahl’s time of six hours, 59 minutes and seven hours, 13 minutes for Mario Balotelli.

“I hope Milan become great again thanks to me,” Piatek told Przeglad Sportowy. “If I had all the qualities the newspapers say I have then I’d be the best player in history, but I hope I’ll be truly worthy of their comparisons one day.
“In my opinion, some of the front pages are exaggerated. I’ll only take some of the praise. I’m satisfied with the goals I’ve scored, not the front pages.”
