The latest NCAA Women's Division I soccer rankings had small movements and several new contenders enter the rankings, but a clear top three have been established in the young season.

Stanford University, Tennessee and Duke remained at the top of the rankings, while a fourth team, TCU, joined them as undefeated teams in the top four.

Stanford stays at number one, with a five game win streak at home, three of which were shut outs. Their first away game at USC will be the true test of their reliance on the home advantage.

Tennessee continues to plug away.

The Vols started out not rated in the preseason poll and quickly jumped to the sixth spot. They now sit comfortably at No.2 for the second week in a row. Their season is adorned with a five win streak. Their third game of the season against UCLA, at the time ranked 4th, proved they deserved eyes on their game. The 1-0 win helped Tennessee rise and ultimately contributed to UCLA’s dip to 23 in poll 2.

Ohio State University slides in at 20th after receiving no rank prior. The Buckeyes came back after their first two games resulted in a tie against Clemson and Loss at South Carolina. At the time of the poll, they had earned their first victory against North Carolina. We can expect them to continue climbing the rankings after their recent win at Princeton, as they now check in at 3-1-1.
