Savannah Sutherland Breaks 400M Hurdles Meet Record At Penn Relays 2024

Michigan Track and Field star Savannah Sutherland breaks a nearly-30-year meet record 400-meter hurdles record at the Penn Relays 2024.

Savannah Sutherland, Michigan star and 2023 NCAA Outdoor 400m hurdle champion, broke a 29-year-old meet record at the 2024 Penn Relays. 

Sutherland, originally from Canada, crushed the competition with a time of 55.36, establishing a new meet record by beating ASU's Lade Akinremi's 55.58A from 1995. 

At the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Savannah Sutherland defeated Britton Wilson of Arkansas to claim victory in the NCAA 400m hurdles title. Sutherland achieved a personal best time of 54.45 seconds during the race.
