NEWS AND NOTES

WOLVES-ONLY HIGHWAY

Through three Saturdays of CAA play, the team picked to finish at the bottom of the table is the one alone at the top.

Stony Brook is 2-0-1 in league games with a 4-0 win over Elon, 1-1 draw at Hofstra, and 3-2 win over Delaware. The Seawolves’ eight goals and +5 goal differential both lead the way against CAA competition. Stony Brook, in its second year in the CAA, is undefeated through three conference matches for the first time since a 4-0-0 start to America East play in 2018.

A POINT ON POINTS

All 10 teams have secured at least one point in the CAA standings through the first three weeks of games.

The gap between first and fifth place is just three points, as Stony Brook (7) is followed by Charleston (5) and a three-way tie of Delaware, Drexel, and Northeastern at four points each.

Hofstra is back into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 at No. 24 this week.
