The BIG EAST's Georgetown will play Virginia Tech on August 27th at 1pm ET in an early season test for the women's soccer programs.

It will be the first time the teams have played since the 2018 season—that match was a 1-1 tie that went to overtime. 

Georgetown is currenrly ranked 20th in the United Coaches NCAA Division I top 25 poll, while Virginia Tech is unranked. 

Notable players for Georgetown include Julia Leas, who was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and named as the BIG EAST's nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year.

Notable players to watch for Virginia Tech women's soccer include Victoria Haugen, who was named to the United Soccer Coaches watch list for defenders.
